VOTEandPOST.org --- process for voting

To be sure that your vote is counted correctly, all the votes need to be posted. This will insure that every vote is received and accurately counted.

VOTEandPOST.ORG is interested in improving the integrity of the election process, which is essential to the functioning of our democracy. With our current voting procedure, there is no way to personally verify if one's vote is counted. Vote and post fixes that problem.

As an example of the vote and post process, the following votes were cast for one's favorite color using the internet, an interactive program and a secret encrypted BAN (Ballot Authorization Number), that allows each voter to verify his or her vote and the precinct's count.

Being able to verify one's vote while maintaining complete anonymity will add needed credibility to the election process. Each voter can verify his or her vote on the precinct's web site by looking up his or her BAN (Ballot Authorization Number) as the following list illustrates:

  • BAN(Ballot Authorization Number) = color
  • 151025849155 = blue
  • 151026748019 = green
  • 251922032448 = blue
  • 451924234660 = green
  • 451925537982 = blue
  • 451927335733 = red
  • 451929436816 = red
  • 666666061666 = blue
  • 951925133530 = red
    • BALLOT RESULTS:
    • votes for blue = 4
    • votes for red = 3
    • votes for green = 2

Compelling reasons for using a vote and post process for our next election:

        1. The vote and post process would give voters an interactive computer based ballot with pertinent information concerning the candidates and proposals made conveniently available at the moment of the voting decision. All the information presented would be verified and certified as factual. This would enable every voter to trust the information and appropriately evaluate all the choices presented. This might be the only source of complete, accurate and verifiable information related to candidates and proposals, given the manipulative strategies used to promote campaign positions.

        2. The interactive ballot would be run as a web page but could also be downloaded as a program from the internet or obtained from other sources.

        3. Prior to the election, you would obtain a secret encrypted BAN (Ballot Authorization Number) from your precinct. This BAN would be used to enable your vote.

        4. The cast ballot in association with your authorized BAN (Ballot Authorization Number) would be electronically sent to the precinct to be validated, posted and counted. This part would be done electronically for accuracy, speed and processing efficiency.

        5. Voters could vote privately from any location at his or her convenience, without the delays, lines and crowds that discourage, annoy and intimidate many.

        6. This would eliminate the need for costly ballot machines for which there is a growing and understandable distrust.

        7. Resources would be saved by reducing travel to and from the polls and the printing of some election material. It would reduce the cost of elections with an important improvement in voter security.

        8. Typical mistakes and voter fraud would be exposed by the openness created by the posting of all ballot results.

        9. The vote and post process is not limited to internet voting, but could be used with paper or other voting methods.

I hope you will support this vote and post process by sharing your beliefs with others. Your support and influence would be appreciated.

        Sincerely,
