MONITOR RESPIRATION

to insure proper level of anesthetic

Many surgical operations performed by veterinarians are typically performed alone or with limited support staff. The added requirement of monitoring the vital signs of the animal along with the demanding job of performing the operation is challenging. Monitoring the respiration gives an early indication of problem(s) before they become critical. With the Breath Beeper, this is done without distraction. The Breath Beeper is a 9 volt battery powered electronic instrument that beeps when the animal exhales. The portable instrument can be conveniently positioned on the operating table without interfering with other critical activities. A sensor is connected to the endotracheal tube positioned in the animal's airway. The volume is adjusted by turning the on-off-volume switch. Experience has indicated that the device works best on canines and larger animals.
